Arsenal’s midfielder has informed his current employer that he will only extend his contract if his current wages are doubled.
The Welshman has been the subject of transfer speculation before and after the close of the transfer window. The midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
After the arrival of Unai Emery, Ramsey was offered a five-year deal but it seems the wages on offer does not commensurate with the figures the midfielder is harbouring.
His current wages are quoted as £110,000 per week but the midfielder has informed his employer that he will only remain at the club when his salary improves by 100%. What this means is that his salary will have to be 220,000 before he considers signing the dotted lines.
The new manager who has overseen two loses in the league has made it known that Ramsey’s presence in the team will avail them off information that can be accessed to better the team going forward.
Arsenal have lost two of their matches. First to Manchester City and second to Chelsea. The Welshman sat out the Chelsea match which further raised speculation over the players future.
Arsenal will do well to win their next match to at least salvage their poor beginnings in the League this season.
