Arsenal scouts spotted in midfielder’s club, could replace Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal football club have sent scouts to Cagliari in Italy to monitor Nicolo Barella situation.

The 21-year-old Italian as been identified as a replacement for contract rebel Aaron Ramsey who is in the last lap of his Arsenal contract which will elapse next year and make him a free agent.

Barella, a box to box midfielder broke into the Cagliari first team after making his debut three years ago.

Arsenal are keen admirers of the highly rated Italian which has prompted officials to be sent to devour the situation before other clubs come sniffing.

The Italian has also been attracting attention from Inter Milan, Roma and Italian champions Juventus.

However, the club are unwilling to let the player depart for cheap and in January which has seen a €50m priced tag slapped on him to ward off suitors.

Arsenal may also face competition from Liverpool, who for a while have been circulating the player. Liverpool were mentioned last month to be targeting the player for a January transfer. It is believed that the club’s interest is genuine.

Arsenal have continued to play well as the season unfold under the tutorship of Unai Emery. They have won six straight matches in the league after losing their first two against Chelsea and Manchester City.
