The above is the reported statement of the agent of Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech who plies his trade in the Netherlands with Ajax football club.
Rene van der Gijp has got most Liverpool fans excited just by implying that his client Hakim is too good for Merseyside rivals Everton.
In a recent interview, the agent whose client has been previously rumoured to be admired by top European clubs have also been reported to laugh off Roma and prefers an Arsenal or Liverpool move for his talented client.
“I hope that there will be a better club than Roma – an Arsenal or Liverpool,” van der Gijp told Voetbal.
When asked about a potential move to Everton, however, Der Gijp was less interested.
“That would be crazy for that boy, he should not go to Everton,” he added.
The 25-year-old Moroccan is skilful, pacey and possesses burst of energy. Also in his kitty is his ability to unlock defences and he can also play as a No. 10.
In addition to his qualities is his wicked left foot which he uses to conjure up massive assists and goals. He has five goals already this term with Ajax in the Eredivisie.
His suitability for the Merseyside giants side might be called into question if the club is out to secure his services as they already possess a couple of decent players that can occupy the No. 10 position and role.
Xherdan Shaqiri, Keita and perhaps Daniel Sturridge are all capable of plugging into that position but their effectiveness is another matter as they are not natural 10s.
Hopefully, Liverpool will sign a player that can unlock defences with accurate passes and a couple of goals like Nebil Fekir or someone of similar skill set. Perhaps the Moroccan might just be the player to make Liverpool tick in that position. Who knows?
