Better than Willian: Marina Granovskiaia keen on signing £100m winger for Chelsea

The defeat to Arsenal may have spurred Chelsea into making plans conscious steps in bolstering their squad. According to report from Daily Express, Chelsea are keen on signing Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho.

A further report suggests that the Blues have established contacts with the Spanish counterparts and have been told that the attacking maestro would be allowed to leave in any deal that is worth £100m.

The Catalans are looking to recoup a large portion of the £142m they paid to Liverpool barely a year ago. The Brazilian midfielder is yet to hit the form that made Barca fork out a record-breaking fee for his services. However, it appears that their loss could be Chelsea’s gain.

The Blues are reported to be keen on matching the player’s valuation despite having spent £57.5m on Christian Pulisic. Also, Gonzalo Higuain is expected to join the club this week in a deal worth £9m.

Leandro Paredes is also reportedly close to sealing a £31m move as he has been flirting with Chelsea in recent times on social media.

Coutinho looks set to return to the Premier League as both Manchester United and Chelsea are both keen on him, amidst reports that Liverpool have no interest in signing their ex player.
