Chelsea’s impressive manager Maurizio Sarri is targeting a player for a January transfer who also happens to be in the radar of both Manchester City and Manchester United.
The former Napoli coach is reportedly interested in signing Brazilian defender, Alex Sandro who plays for Juventus. The top rated player is also monitored by the two Manchester clubs.
Both Manchester clubs have been linked to the player since last summer and United’s Jose Mourinho is particularly interested in securing the player has a competition for Luke Shaw.
The 27-year-old Brazilian can play as both a defender and as a wing back. An ability that might have motivated Chelsea into joining a host of other clubs for the players signature.
The sum of around £50m will supposedly be enough to convince Juventus to do business. Also, Sarri’s familiarity with the Italian Serie A might be an advantage in convincing the player to join his progressive Blues project.
Even though Chelsea’s interest in the player is a bit surprising considering that they have Marcos Alonso who is doing an equally impressive job in the left back position, it will be a welcome idea to have a robust squad for the league run in.
