Chelsea may have found Alvaro Morata’s replacement

It is no secret that Chelsea fans and coach have had and seen enough of Alvaro Morata. Hence, reports of a replacement is no longer something to be taken lightly.

The Spanish striker’s impotency at the front of goal continued at the weekend against Manchester United with no shot whatsoever on target. He was hooked off and replaced with Giroud.

His passing and positioning in attack have been questioned in recent weeks by plethora of media houses.

To this end, the Stamford Bridge hierarchy have been searching for a 20-goal a season attacker and they have reportedly found one in Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek.

The 23-year-old attacker has found the net ten times already this season in all competition for Genoa – an Italian side. His exploits in front of goal have seen clubs line up for his services, Chelsea, chief amongst them.

Aside signing Kepa Arrizabalaga, Jorginho and Kovacic, Chelsea had a quiet campaign. A deficit the club intend to correct when the January transfer window opens.

Also, reports are rife that the club has sent scouts to watch Alessio Romagnoli. The 23-hear centre back who plays for AC Milan is said to be admired by Maurizio Sarri.

Whatever the club decide to do with Alvaro Morata, it will be a significant one if one put his huge transfer fee into perspective.
