Chelsea are doing everything possible to ensure that their talented superstar remains at Stamford Bridge for another five years at least.
Eden Hazard, 25, joined Chelsea in 2012 for the sum of £32 million from Lille back in France. He has gone to feature 302 times for Chelsea bagging 89 goals in the process from the midfield.
The Belgian has won all the trophies on offer in England and one in Europe and he is left with the elusive champions League. At the World Cup he came close but France were too much for them so they had to settle for third place.
His exploits at the World Cup has seen his situation at the Blues monitored keenly by Los Blancos who see him as a long-term replacement for their departed Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Chelsea are willing to raise the player’s wages to £300,000 per week to ward off any interest from other clubs. Although to ensure he accepts this terms, the club must either finish in the top four or win the Europa league to qualify for the Champions League next season.
He has started this season from the bench but hopefully Sarri will deem him fit enough to feature the whole 90 minutes against Newcastle.
