Chelsea are reportedly mulling over the thought of opening talks with Monaco over their defender Andreas Christensen.
Christensen has been relegated to the bench since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri who favours the partnership of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz at centre back with Cahill has replacement.
The Danish defender had a good season even if somewhat irregular when former Chelsea boss Conte was still at the helm.
The current situation at Chelsea if not nipped in the bud may prompt the exciting youngster to seek pasture anew with Monaco a supposed destination if all goes well in the talks.
The club is seeking to start afresh after selling most of their players for top dollar last season and this one. They have started the campaign in a lukewarm manner with poor result circulating week in and week out.
A loan deal has been mooted in some quarters for the youngster with an option to make it permanent if Monaco are agreeable.
Chelsea have been suspect in selling youngster and later wishing they had been more patient with them. Nathan Ake is one of such players that left Chelsea to become a star in Bournemouth FC.
It will be sad for the fans if Christensen leave Chelsea after such a promising start to his career at the club.
