Chelsea suffer injury blow as influential ace withdraws from international duty

In form Premier League club side, Chelsea have reportedly suffer an injury blow to their German defender, Antonio Rudiger.

The premier league team have announced that the defender will miss two friendly matches for his country due to a groin injury sustained. Although, the player will hopefully return in the club’s crunch encounter against Manchester United after the international break.

Rudiger, 25, and David Luis have been an ever present rock at the back for the Blues. His all action defending has helped the club start the campaign so far undefeated in the Premier and Europa league.

Meanwhile, he has withdrawn from the two friendlies to be played by his country and has wished his fellow teammates a favourable outing.

His absence, if he is unable to shake off the groin challenge before their match against the Old Trafford side, will not be too felt has Maurizio Sarri has adequate replacement in Garry Cahill and Christensen.

Chelsea will want to continue their impressive start to the league campaign regardless of the player’s injury setback, and against a top rival will be an added incentive to secure more points.
