Chelsea transfer target tells club he wants to leave, £50M sees deal done

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has been positively surprised by the whirlwind progress he has enjoyed since joining the Blues before the start of the new season.

The Italian does not want to rest on his oars and he is therefore looking to make improvements to the team as soon as the January transfer window.

A host of players have been mooted as top targets for the club in the future. One of such players is Nabil Fekir.

Nabil Fekir plies his trade in France with Olympique Lyon and was the subject of a failed bid from Liverpool in the summer. The reason the transfer fell through was due to a knee problem discovered by Liverpool doctors according to reports.

Although, he is yet to discover his last season form that saw him bagged 18 goals and 8 assists in 30 appearances which brought him into the attention of top European clubs.

He has reportedly informed the club that he desires a new challenge at the end of the season.

The France international is wanted as a replacement for Eden Hazard whose contract situation is gradually becoming a worry.

The Chelsea midfielder/attacker is wanted by Real Madrid, a situation the Blues don’t want to be in as the player is keen on joining the club when they make an offer.

To avoid unwanted drag, the club has marked Nabil Fekir has a viable alternative should the Belgian refuse to sign the contract extension on offer and depart the club.

Apart from the contract issue, the club is looking to freshen the old legs at the attacking front which include those of Pedro and Willian.

Bayern Munich are also keen on the 24-year-old to replace either Arjen Robben or Frank Ribery as age is no longer on their sides.

Fekir will cost any club close to £50m as he is just 24 and a world Cup winner. He is currently sidelined with an injury but hopefully he will be back to his feet playing again.
