Chelsea fans will be unhappy right now knowing that one of their in-form player will be unavailable for the crunch match against Manchester United.
Ever present Antonio Rudiger will miss the weekend match after suffering a groin injury that saw him withdrew from Germany national team during the international break and is yet to recover.
However, the Blues have a very healthy squad with experience players that can fit in seamlessly when called upon. Cahill will be summoned to help shield the defence against a united side going through a patch themselves.
With the injured 25-year-old side-lined, Chelsea may line up in their preferred 4-3-3 formation with Kepa at the goalpost shielded by Alonso, Luiz, Cahill and Azpilicueta. While the midfield will be manned by Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante. The attack will be led by Giroud with Hazard and Willian flanking him.
Manchester United have been under the spotlight for the wrong reasons recently which has seen them drop points and concede goals as they remain behind their rivals in the rankings.
Although their last outing in the league was short of miraculous after coming from behind with less than 20 minutes left on the clock to defeat Newcastle United.
So a win against a top side like Chelsea will be welcomed as a marked improvement and a sign that the sinking ship is afloat again.
