Arsenal and Manchester United target Ivan Perisic has reportedly handed in a transfer request to leave his club.
The Croatian has been on the radar of some top teams in Europe but it was Manchester United who showed signs of wanting the player.
Alongside United, Arsenal who recently joined the race for the player have also reportedly submitted a bid to take him on loan with an option to make permanent.
Inter on the other hand are only interested in seeing the player leave on a permanent basis for about £35 – 40 million.
The interest by United was birthed by Jose Mourinho in the summer but the player chose to stay put at Inter Milan.
Inter were holding out for a huge transfer fee but the player is not interested in what the club thinks or wants hence the supposed submission of a transfer request.
In addition, the player’s influence in the team has waned as evidenced by his unused substitute appearance in the lost against Torino.
In 18 appearances this term, the winger has scored three and assisted just two. Somewhat a let off for a player of his ilk and experience.
It is left to see which club the player favours as Inter have announced that no club has made any official attempt to sign the world Cup finalist.
“Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days.” According to the club’s director Giuseppe Marotta.
