News have emerged that Chelsea’s Eden Hazard will not signed a contract extension unless the Blues secure a Champions League return for next season.

This is coming in the wake of a supposed progress in the player’s willingness to sign a contract extension a couple of days ago according to reports.

Hazard was largely touted by Real Madrid and was seen as a replacement for departed Cristiano Ronaldo after his exploits at the World Cup saw his country finished third.

Although recent reports have put these rumours to rest with the player now set to sign an extension to his Chelsea contract that will see him collect an improve sum of £300,000 per week.

This agreement will only be made possible if Chelsea secure a champions league berth for next season as they will feature in the Europa league this season given that they finished outside the champions league position in the league.
