Reports of Chelsea’s interest in Nabil Fekir have refused to go away. New spice have been added to make the supposed rumour captivating.
The 25-year-old Olympique Lyon star has been a subject of speculation as the winter window draws near. The Blues and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are said to be targeting the Frenchman for their teams.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly called the player to convince him of the project he is overseeing at Chelsea and to assure him of a holding position if he decides to join.
However, if he is secured next summer, what this simply means is limited to zero playing time for Pedro given that Borges Willian, Eden Hazard and Fekir will be preferred.
Whatever the case though, Fekir who had an impressive outing in the French Ligue one last season will be a quality addition to Chelsea – a side still undefeated this season.
Sarri is building something special with the Blues. There will be challenges and all but with their current interest in various quality players, the future of the club is looking exciting.
