Chelsea have been given an unintended advantage as they face an Everton side that might be bereft of their highest goalscorer, Richarlison due to an ankle complaint.
The 21-year-old former Watford player sustained an ankle injury in the match against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. A match he scored a brace in.
The player couldn’t partake in his club training regimen on Thursday because of the ankle challenge which has sprout doubts of his unavailability as they face Chelsea.
Marco silver, hitherto of Watford but now Everton’s gaffer isn’t very happy with the situation but he took out time to allay the fears of the fans.
He used his press conference to announce that even if Richarlison will not feature, quality alternatives are available in Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. So there shouldn’t be any dearth in quality in the offensive department.
Richarlison has been a revelation for the Merseyside Blues since he arrived for the sum of £40m in the summer.
His transfer fee was challenged in some quarters as too huge for an unknown quantity, but the Brazilian has bagged seven goals and provided four assists so far placing him among the highest goalscorers in the league.
The Chelsea encounter will be a tough challenge. Finger crossed, Everton will come out with atmost a point.
