“I can’t wait for the trophies and to play” – Forward makes shock admission

Maurizio Sarri has convinced Morata to remain at Chelsea and Spanish forward has answered by extending his contract.

The Spanish forward has experienced a mixed fortunes in England but his determination and desire has soared through.

He was trolled and criticized both fairly and unfairly but his desire to stitch the mouth of his haters with a contract extension speaks volume.

After joining from Real Madrid last season for £60 million, expectation were immediately high. Blues fans cannot be blamed because they have accommodated the likes of Drogba, Torres, Lampard and even Shevchenko and quite recently Costa.

So their expectation were stifling for the young Spanish forward. The arrival of Maurizio Sarri seems to be dousing the fear and nurturing the confidence of the attacker. This will hopefully translate to consistent scoring of goals.

“I can go back to Spain or Italy. The people believe in me there but I want to change all the things here. I want to do it not against for the haters, but me and for Chelsea to do well.”

“Chelsea gave me everything in one moment that I needed. Now I think I have a lot of time to give back to the club,” Morata continued. “I can’t wait for the trophies and to play. I want to score more than 30 goals. But I said before I prefer to score 15 or 20 and get the Premier League title, or one big trophy.”

“I’m looking to buy a house here and I can’t wait for the babies to grow up to put into school. I’m very happy and it’s just the beginning of the new season, I can’t think about being not happy. I want to change all the thinking about the people, it’s the only reason that I stay here. Chelsea gave me the chance to stay here.”

“If Chelsea say ‘You are not in our plans,’ I move but if Chelsea want you I think every player wants to stay at Chelsea.”

Prior to his signing a contract extension, he publicly declared that if he is not wanted at Chelsea he will return home but the genuinety of the project being overseen by Sarri seems to have convinced him otherwise.

He now wants to give his all at Chelsea and as declared that he is looking to buy a house and send his kids to school in England.

Chelsea bested Arsenal in the London derby and Morata put his name on the scoresheet by scoring his teams second of the day. Next up for Sarri’s army is Newcastle.
