Liverpool agree £27m to make prolific forward first January signing

In an interesting report, Liverpool have submitted a £27m bid to lure Turkey wonder kid Abdulkadir Omur to Anfield this January.

Prior to the opening of the winter transfer window, Liverpool’s passionate and vivacious manager Jurgen Klopp was only interested in signing a player if the right quality was available or the existence of an injury crisis. The former seems to have influenced his decision.

After the recent completion of the transfer of Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth, the club have identified Trabzonspor’s 19-year-old as a good prospect to invest in for the now and the future.

The Turkish youngster has featured in 16 matches so far scoring two and assisting four. He has also won recognition for his man of the match performances in two particular appearances for the club.

The midfielder can play on either flank and as a number 10 when the need arises. Roma, along with Manchester City and Liverpool were reportedly interested but it seems Liverpool have acted swiftly.

Trabzonspor believe the player is worth around €30m and any interested suitor should have to wait till the summer for a transfer but it seems Liverpool have tabled a bid with the hope that an agreement can be reached this January.

According to reports, talks are ongoing between the two clubs over the transfer of the youngster to Anfield.

Well, I don’t think what Liverpool needs right now is an unproven 19-year-old in big European nights.

The defence should be made a topmost priority given that injuries have depleted the wall that has concedes 10 goals in the league thus far.
