Merseyside giants Liverpool have reportedly shown marked interest in securing the services of Karem Demirbay from Hoffeinhem
The Turkish – German joined Hoffeinhem in the German league two years ago and has been heavily linked to Liverpool and Everton in the past.
Liverpool seem to have made progress with the pacey midfielder in convincing him to join them next summer according to reports from Turkish Football.
Demirbay has a £28m release clause in his contract. A sum the Reds may not be willing to pay outright without negotiations.
The Turkish-German was in the employ of Borrussia Dortmund before joining Hoffeinhem in 2016. The player’s familiarity with Klopp will also play an influential role in ensuring he chose Liverpool over city rivals, Everton.
The German Bundesliga is a strong league regardless of the dominance enjoyed by Bayern Munich. Demirbay has carved a name as a good player for himself in that league.
So he will be a good signing if the Reds secure his services given that Salah is currently nursing a knock after featuring for his country during the international break.
Liverpool are yet to lose in the league after winning their first six matches and drawing two against Chelsea and Manchester City.
Hopefully, the points will rain in given the favourable featured list this month starting with Huddersfield this weekend.
