Liverpool transfer news: Reds launch bid to sign €50M-rated midfielder

Liverpool have reportedly made a powerful offer for France star Rabiot in order to beat  Barcelona to his signature.

Rabiot who plays for PSG will be out of contract next summer despite incessant attempts by the club to elongate his stay.

The situation at the French capital has quickly inspired suitors for his services as he will become a free agent at the end of this campaign.

Barcelona and Liverpool are obviously interested in securing the services of the 23-year old Frenchman to help galvanize their midfield.

The Merseyside club have an upper hand on the evidence that one of their summer marquee recruits, Fabinho is interesting the Paris club. They are expected to make a loan offer in January if reports are to be believed.

It although sounds a little ridiculous given that the player in question featured in the last two matches played by the club. His contribution to the team in those two attempts earned him man of the match against Red Star in the champions league and high ratings against Cardiff City in the premier League.

So talk of a loan move because of boredom and as a makeweight for Rabiot’s deal is a little premature unless of course there is more to it.
