Maurizio Sarri desperate to make €80m offer to sign Mourinho’s target

Emerging reports have it that Chelsea’s manager Maurizio Sarri is desperate to complete the signing of Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar also admired by rivals Manchester United.

It is no longer a secret that the Italian manager is in need of defensive reinforcement, following the below par performances of Garry Cahill whenever he has been called upon, there is no need to ask why.

It will be a near miracle for Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz to finish the season without injury or fatigue to one or both of them hence the need for a solid cover when such a time manifests. And who is more suited than Skriniar.

The 23-year-old burst onto the scene when he joined Inter Milan from Sampdoria for £15.8m back in 2016.

His performances this season has drawn a lot of attention towards him, which include Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Manchester United are also huge admirers but it seems the Blues are edging it.

Skriniar’s link to Chelsea dates back to last season but a deal did not come to fruition. It now seem like the Slovak is England bound with Chelsea at the forefront even though Manchester United were thought to be close to agreeing a deal with Inter Milan.

The player is currently rated at €80m and the sum seem not to be prohibiting Chelsea from a move.
