Pacy defender sends disappointing message to Chelsea fans

On loan Chelsea Nigerian central defender Kenneth Omeruo who joined from Standard Liege back in 2012 has announced through an interview when asked about his future that he’d love to continue his development at Leganes where he currently is on loan.

The 25-year-old Nigeria player has been on various loan spells since joining Chelsea due to the quality available at the Bridge and is yet to have a look in by the manager.

His contract with the Blues will expire in 2020 and the super eagles star is looking forward to spending another season long loan with Leganes due to the influence of the manager.

Leganes appointed Mauricio Pellegrino after he was shown the exit door by Southampton in the Premier League.

The Argentine’s nose for details and willingness to help players develop as been cited by Omeruo as the reason why he wants to remain with the Spanish club.

He said: “Mmmm no (laughs). I want to be in Leganés, in Spain. Play and improve here. I would like to continue with Leganés.”

Plus because he was a great defender himself during his playing days has really aided his ability to communicate what he wants and how he wants his players to respond to various footballing situations.

Omeruo has only featured twice in the league and once in Copa dey Roy so far for the Spanish club.
