Chelsea confirmed the loan deal for Gonzalo Higuain on Wednesday and the new signing has already begun training at the club. Higuain finally signed for the Blues after weeks of negotiations and already looks comfortable in London.
The former Napoli forward was pictured taking a ride with new teammate Jorginho ahead of his first training session at Cobham. Jorginho and Higuain are said to be close from their days at Napoli and it is no surprise that the Italian international provided a helping hand for his new teammate.
After arriving at Cobham training ground Higuain was pictured in the dressing room holding a mate tea alongside Marcos Alonso and compatriot Wily Caballero.
The image was shared on Instagram by Caballero.
Higuain would be looking to get accustomed to Sarri’s training methods as he looks to bring the feel-good factor back to the Blues attack. The striker is not available for today’s clash against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea had hoped to register him before the clash but missed the Wednesday midday deadline.
Higuain spoke highly of Sarri in an interview on the club’s official website. He revealed that the Italian tactician understands how to get the best out of him both physically and mentally.
‘Maurizio Sarri is the coach who, in my career, has got the best out of me as a player,’
‘He’s someone who knew how to work with me, particularly on the emotional side.
