Player confirms north London arrival on social media

Joel Lopez appears to be on his way to Emirates as he confirms a move to Arsenal.
The player who took to his instagram page to make this known by changing his bio to “football player Arsenal FC” is saying goodbye to Camp Nou as he announces.

He wrote: “The day has come to say goodbye to what has been my home these last seven years…. It was a difficult decision but after contemplating it with my family I made the decision to go and start a new stage as a footballer with great enthusiasm”.

Despite being offered a professional contract deal at Barcelona, the 16-year old promising star who was playing for Barcelona U-16 refused the deal offered and has decided to head to North London for the continuation of his football career.

Arsenal is known for signing young talents and has been raiding Barcelona when the need arises.
The recent signings of Arsenal’s head coach Unai Emery has taken Joel Lopez from Camp Nou to North London where he would experience a different football style in the English Premiership.

Also, during the reign of Arsene Wenger as Arsenal’s Boss, the Gunners made a habit of bringing young talent from Barcelona as Cesc Fabregas came from Barcelona and became Arsenal captain before returning to the Camp Nou, Hector Bellerin also had the same fate.

It is hoped that the young star will put up a good show and impression in his new club.
