Real Madrid transfer target happy to sign Chelsea contract on one condition

Eden Hazard is always in the news regarding reports of a possible transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid. The latest news from Europe says that the mercurial winger would only sign a contract extension on one condition.

Bleacher Report says that Hazard has informed close friends that he would sign a new contract if Madrid fails to make an offer for his services in the summer. The Belgium ace has repeatedly spoke of his desire to play for the European Champions.

It is believed that Real Madrid have not made an official bid for the player despite all the news to the contrary. Hazard is viewed by many as the best player at Chelsea and the club are trying their best to secure his immediate future.

His current contract runs until 2020 and Chelsea have tabled an offer of £300,000-a-week to sway the former Lille forward. This would make the 28 year old the highest paid player in the club’s history if he accepts the deal.

However it is understood that the allure of playing for Real Madrid is very strong and the player could leave Stamford Bridge if an offer is made in the summer. Chelsea have already begun making contingency plans with the signing of Borussia Dortmund ace Christian Pulisic.
