Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has reportedly asked the authorities at the club that he wants to complete the transfer of two Serie A duo in January.
Chelsea have had a dream start to the premier league and Europa league campaign. They have not tasted defeat since their loss to Manchester City in the Community shield. Their stat stands at played 10, won 8, draw two.
However, to keep the momentum, Sarri wants to delve into the market in January to recruit two players from Juventus and Genoa for the sum of £75m.
Young Daniele Rugani who plies his trade for Juventus was targeted last season but his club refused to sanction the deal. Reports have it that Sarri will bid for the young defender again in January as a replacement for out of favour Cahill.
On the other end of the pitch, Chelsea strikers have not been firing on all cylinders. Giroud and Morata seem to have lost their goal scoring touch. As their drought in front of goal continues, the manager is seeking to recruit an attacker in Krzysztof Piatek – who has already hit 12 goals this season for Genoa as replacement for his goal shy strikers.
If this deals can be completed in January, Chelsea will be a force to reckon with come 2019/2020 campaign.
